The NCDA is offering a FREE pilot web video professional development opportunity: Career Coaching Clients for Success : 10 Lifelong Career Rules by Dr. Rich Feller, Professor of Counseling and Career Development and a University Distinguished Teaching Scholar from Colorado State University .

• Provide you with a "Gaps analysis" planning model you can use with your clients
• Demonstrate "More Powerful" planning questions for entering college and work

VCDA invites you to celebrate National Career Development Month by inviting your students to participate in NCDA's 45th Annual Poetry and Poster Contest. This year's theme is "Celebrating My Career Dreams".

School counselors can help by:

• publicizing the contest throughout their schools

• volunteer to be the school contact person for entries

• designate one person to be the county contact

October 2010 is National Bullying Prevention Month: This year marks the fifth anniversary of PACER's National Bullying Prevention Month that unites communities nationwide to raise awareness of bullying prevention. Traditionally held the first week in October, the event has been expanded to include activities, education, and awareness building for the entire month.

During the event—and throughout the year—you are encouraged to use the creative resources here to engage, educate, and inspire others to join the movement.

Request for Proposals: National Association for Workforce Improvement Conference April 21-23 in Alexandria. VA. We invite you to consider submitting a presentation proposal. Key areas of interest for this year’s conference include:
