CALL FOR PROPOSALS!!

Friday, April 20th , 2012

“The Reflective Practitioner: Creating Positive Environments for All”

We invite you to submit a program proposal for the 2 nd annual VCDA/VAMCD Conference on April 20th . We are looking for sessions that address, but are not limited to the following topics:

•  Interventions for a culturally diverse clientele

•  Resources for a culturally diverse clientele

•  Legal and ethical considerations in multicultural or career counseling

•  Career and college readiness

•  Career pathways

•  Completion of post-secondary programs

•  Decision making

•  Feedback, discussion, assessment of best practices in multicultural or career counseling

•  Legal and ethical considerations in multicultural or career counseling

•  Social media, technology, and career development

•  Universal design for workplace

•  Strengths-based focus in the career center

•  Story-telling in career exploration

•  Academic career plans

Proposals are due no later than December 15th . Proposals received past the deadline will be considered per the discretion of the VCDA and VAMCD Professional Development Committees. Notification of selection will take place in January.

Please provide the following information in your proposal:

•  Title of presentation

•  Presenter names, titles, and contact information

•  Presentation summary (no more than 50 words)

Email all proposals as attachments to Sharon DeBragga at sadebragga@fcps.edu
